Interactive and Participatory Exchange Workshop

Organization of an interactive and participatory workshop with 20 educational leaders, school authorities, teachers, parent representatives, and local structures on the theme of sociocultural challenges (child and forced marriages, female genital mutilation, painful menstruation).

Objective:

Identify factors and actors influencing child and forced marriages, female genital mutilation, gender-based violence (GBV), painful menstruation, and develop prevention and mitigation strategies in educational settings.

Results achieved:

  • 20 leaders trained and engaged in preventing and mitigating forced and child marriages, female genital mutilation, painful menstruation, and other GBV in educational settings.
  • A tool for preventing and mitigating forced and child marriages, female genital mutilation, painful menstruation, and other GBV.
  • Silence around menstrual issues among adolescent girls has been reduced.
