Context
The city of Goma and the territory of Nyiragongo are deeply affected by armed conflicts, exposing adolescent girls to multiple vulnerabilities: school dropout, gender-based violence, menstrual insecurity, and psychosocial distress. In response, FED, with the support of MUNDO COOPERANTE, launched a digital identification initiative targeting girls aged 13 to 15 to better guide interventions in protection, education, and menstrual health.
Digital identification
Participating schools submitted identification forms for vulnerable girls aged 13 to 15. Each school provided 10 student forms, all validated and complete. The total is 200 girls identified (100 in Goma and 100 in Nyiragongo).
General Objective
Ensure reliable digital identification of vulnerable girls to facilitate their educational, psychosocial, and health support.
Results achieved
- 200 girls identified and supported (13-15 years old)
- 20 participating schools (10 in Goma, 10 in Nyiragongo)
- All student forms received are complete (200/200)
